Historic Home Renovations

One of the major functions of Scarlett Construction, Inc. is the complete gut-renovation of historic homes and businesses in Saint Louis. These projects are mainly for tax-credit-based renovations and are undertaken by both property investors and homeowners alike. The historic tax credits are applied based on the scope of work and the adherence to retaining the historic integrity of the structure. Often overseen by a private-sector historic tax-credit advisor, Scarlett works with the client, architect, advisor and the governing authorities to ensure that the highest quality applicable materials and workmanship are being applied. The goal of Scarlett on these projects is to bring the historic structure into the 21st century in both efficiency and amenities while retaining its original character.
