Russell Restoration Project

This project on the grandest section of Russell Boulevard in Compton Heights is a restoration to have pride in. An early 1900's home with monikers and emblems linking its heritage to one of the many brewing family empires that helped to build Saint Louis, the end result of this restoration is to be a fine historic home with luxurious touches throughout and a grand essence about the site

One major component of the work has been the preservation of the slate siding on the exterior dormers and upper facade. Due to the condition of the existing slate in several locations and the maintainence required with slate, the decision was made to remove the slate from the rear gable, and portage the remnants to the other slate locations to replace broken or missing pieces. New Tamko Lamarite Slate synthetic individual slate shingles were installed on the rear gable to replace the removed slate.
